Oboma cartoon on the other post is tricky with them big Dumbo ears, otherwise a basic light bulb would be a great start if you could glue on the ears....

im gonna give that guy another try after i can get to my lathe to turn out a basswood light bulb, as i failed miserably on this one...

Another bit of a try after removing the eyes, and mouth i re carved then and thinned out the chin, lots more detailing for this one to go through...

ok after a coat of paint, its too dark i think as its just about dry...

here it is needs sealing...

maybe some burnishing with a brown paper bag might loose some of the darker color skin tone started as a raw senna mix with water which was too yellow, added burnt umber and the color came about right wet but darkened as it dried...

got it in front of a electric heater drying will see soon if its a repaint or not...
