| Hi, Ya All! That's where I was this past weekend. Well, Saturday anyways, I was suppose to be there two days. But it was so HOT!!! Saturday that I got sick when I got home and wasn't able to go Sunday. I didn't make it back out till Tuesday for open carving/burning at the club. I spent it recuperating. They told me I didn't miss much it was even slower Sunday. Attendance was really down this year. It is usually a very well attended festival. I think it was a combination of the heat and the economy. It is our second show/event of the season. I hope the rest go much better. We have three in August. So I thought you might want to still see some pictures. We didn't take as many as we usually do cause it was just to hot to do anything My husband and one of our friends from the club put together my new display. I got a tri-fold wood room screen from a garage sale. Had them take out the inside of each panel and then had them insert pieces of lattice and had them paint it black. It turned out pretty nice so I have another display to use. Tried it out at the festival, I like it, they did a good job. So here are a few pics..... The first two pics are of the display screen my hubby and our friend/club mate Bob put together for me. The third one is a pic of this year's raffle project, a whimsical gnome village out of cottonwood bark. The next two are one of our woodburning artists/member, Marvene and her work.

Hi Tina, Great pics! Easy to tell by the look on their faces that the weather is uncomfortable, so hot here I won't even go outside today. Some great artists there, thanks for sharing the pics, very enjoyable to see other people's work. Dan |
