Default Nothing much

Haven't posted much for a while so thought I show these wizard pins that I made base on Tom H's 5 minute wizards. My sister asked me to make them for her to send to the grandkids of a very distant relative in England........Under 3½" and carved from Sassafrass, they are painted with an acrylic wash and waiting for a clear finish.
Regards
John

Nice work! I've been working on some similar carvings and this gives me some ideas on hair and hats. The grandkids will love 'em!

Glad you liked them Terry.......they're fun to carve and good practice, I still have trouble carving smiling or laughing faces but these are close I guess.

Hi John. Your pins look good. They kind of have an older/antique look to them. Good job carving and painting them. Thank you for sharing. Paul

Hi John, those are some happy wizards. I love the detailing that you put into the carving and painting.

G'day John, cold enough for ya this year? Nice wizards John, great idea. I know I will eventually be game enough to try some human faces but, not at present. Joe.

Thanks again Ron, the wizards are fun to do and the sort of project you can carry easily in case you get a few moments to carve.

Cold as a witch's wotnot over here Joe, of course not having had a real winter these past 10 years or so could mean we've got a little soft huh?
And yes, it took me a while to muster the courage to tackle faces, but thanks to the great folks on here I took the plunge and now enjoy them.
