A national sales guy fron California saw my Top Salesman in Nashville in Dec. and wanted one for his desk only he wanted him black. Here is my version of the Top Salesman in the USA.

You did a GREAT job on the white Top salesman.Post the one you have a order for when hes done. I more than see why that man from Cal wanted one,once again, you did a great job not only carving him but your painting is perfect! Forrest

Forrest, that is the black one for the sales rep in CA. I just used a walnut stain on his face and hands and he is much browner in person than the pic shows. Also I put one gold tooth on him that doesn't show up in the pic. Thanks.

Love him Doug ... I really like the old timey look of him .. The clothes and color ..

and that base is different .. never seen one like that with the U.S. as a whole ..

Hi Doug, just caught you Top Salesman carving, it's really great. I'm a new carver, 3 or 4 months now and I check thru all the old posts, check the profiles and look at the works of other carvers. I noticed your age, funny thing, the young guys don't seem to show their age often, us old coots always do, I guess in my casee, I'm happy I've lived this long.

Doug,I really like this one,kinda a old timey sales man with the straw hat plus the base really sets him off. Hes neat plus your painting really brings it all together! Great work Doug! Forrest
