Northeast Woodcarver's Roundup (NEWR) - Honesdale PA July 19-24

Just thought I'd post a general reminder to the WCI community that this Sunday is the start of the 2009 NEWR. This year it has expanded from three to four days of carving instruction. I have gone for the last 3 years and have always had a GREAT time. There is no charge for the event or the classes, but the instructors usually ask that you purchase your material for the class from them to help defray their expenses.

Anyone else planning to go this year? If so say hi! I'll be attending with my wife Theresa and you can usually find me hanging out with Mike Bloomquist playing guitar (me) & Native American flute (him and me).

I still haven't ordered my WCI badge (bad Chuck) so I won't have one on. Sorry! Gotta do that soon.

See,, I on the other hand don't have any excuses.. I'm going to a roundup in my studio..and then I have to change a light bulb in my carving lamp,,dust my chisels off..I saw a weed in the garden I plan to pull that week..as well as pull off a tomato that might be ripe by then..take a nap in the afternoon,,,SEE,,, I'm booked that week... no excuses....

Heh heh. You're a veritable whirlwind of activity mate. ;-) Seriously, I am sure you'll be MUCH busier than you're letting on. I can't picture you taking it THAT easy.
