Default New wood spirit...

Ifinished this one a few weeks ago he is one of the smallest that I have carved He is about an inch wide and eight inches tall. As I always do I finished him with brown shoe polish as it seems to work great on the pine knots..Thanks for looking...Bruce

I like your work, and the shoe polish works very well for this.

Those pine knots can be hard to carve sometimes. Nice job and thanks for the shoe polish idea for them.

Bruce, nice looking woodspirit--you didn't say what size? Do you use power tools to carve the pine knots?
I just cleaned up some Colorado Cottonwood bark to try a woodspirit looking forward to the process. May win or lose but will try. lol
Any tips welcome
Kathy

Bruce, you did one fine job on that spirit and the finish really makes him pop, good for you, he's a winner for sure.
