Default New walking stick

Here is another mt. laurel stick that I did a couple of weeks ago.I liked the shape of this one because of the crook at the bottom.I took a little to much out of the mouth area but this wood dries hard and should make a good walking stick.

Hi woodtrapper, hey well we all at sometime take to much wood out of a certain area. Looks like there is a nice bend to the handle and the crook at the bottom makes it interesting. I like the color of the wood too.

Good looking stick and I appreciated the side profile too. I just had a request for two laurel woodspirit sticks last Thursday so I'm gonna have to get busy! Thanks for posting.

Yes. I do give quite a few away and I also sell a lot. I used to sell a LOT more several years ago but it became too much of a full time job and I've already got one of them! The local gift shop at the interstate was buying and selling quite a bit of my stuff and they were paying me cash... not on consignment, so I was working week nights and weekends for about a year when I decided to take a break.

Ever since I find plenty of word-of-mouth sales and I've gotten back more to the hobby of carving and I'm a lot happier. I can always crank it up again if I get hungry enough but for now my stomach is full enough.
