Default new start old project

Hi all, I couldn't think of anything to carve a then I was on the porch and saw an old carving that i had stsrted about six mths. ago. It's a carving of jesus on cata,pa wood 1ft.x2ft. Ineed some suggestions on background and if I have the closed eyes right or not. Hope theses pics come through.

MA, burning and carving is not the same as playing with matches and knives.

Hi Feb, gee it looks really good to me, but I know there are other's far better skilled than I that might see what I don't see.
I like the background the way it is simple is better your 'Jesus' is the star. I really like the design it's time for to work on it again and finish it.
