Well, I got myself a spoon knife so I thought I'd try it out. Here it is - the Runespoon! (I couldn't resist carving something on it and the wood's a bit splintery, so I thought I'd try some runes ). Sorry the pics so fuzzy, the light was a bit bad for my phone. I need a decent camera!

Blimey Claude, that was quick! Of course I can translate, but that'd spoil the fun ![]() Only kidding, it's nothing sacred It says Hrafn rist runar, which means Raven carved the runes |

Thanks ![]() Runes are an old form of writing used by the Vikings. They were meant to be carved which is why they are all straight lines. There's quite a few different runic scripts, this is from the Elder or Common Germanic Futhark |
