Default new project-music stand

Last week I was asked to built a music stand that would look nice, and not have to be hid in the closet when its not in use.
So, I started asking questions about what in particular she wanted. All she told me at the time was adjustable height. So, my brain started to work. Adjustable height is no problem, but I was thinking in terms of style and carving, and did some internet searches. I was excited when I found this music stand on line, sent some pics to the lady, and now she's excited.
The music stand was circa 1880 and made of mahogany and brass.
I don't intend to copy it, but I think I'm gonna use it as a stepping stone for something a little different.
I thought someone else on this board might get some inspiration from this excellent antique piece.
Michael

You are absolutely right,

I'm a guitar player and I made a couple of guitar stands already for just the pleasure of having something made by me.

A music stand like this is a good inspiration, thanks for posting,

Gilles
