Default New Pics on PictureTrail

A ways back there was a post on what we were working on now, and I said that I had a couple projects before I could get any carving done.....her's one project out of the way. It probably should have been posted down in the woodworking forum, but this one is where I lurk, so you guys will have to put up with it!

Al, what a great job! Now THAT kind of work is something that I wouldn't dare try. That's a beautiful piece.

Randy, I believe the PO box doors are available through

www.rockler.com

Â* Â*I found some at half their price at (believe it or not) the Norht American Model Engineering Exposition last year in Southgate, MI. Â*don't know where the expo was held this year or if that same vendor was still around. Â*You may want to inquire at

www.modelengineeringsoc.com

Â* They may have information on their vendors.

If you get a chance, these model engineering shows are really something to see.....they even have some wood carving and wood working as part of their design processes (patternmakers) as in model parts for metal castings.

Al, Well done......I've never saw a PO Box door used like that B4, great concept and well put together.

Thats a great piece to keep passing down to the kids and grand kids, will bring much joy and fond memories.

Glad you put it up on the site. Coffeeman
