Default New Mtn. Man Pics

Just finished a new mtn, man. It is 14x9x 4 inches. he is made from basswood, the guy said it was down for a year but it was still damp and sringy in places. For basswood it had some nice lines so i just finished it with 3 coats of Deft semi- gloss. I still can put light or dark wax on it but can't make up my mind. What do you think? Click below to veiw. MA, burning and carving is not the same as playing with matches and knives.

Feb, I think and it is just my opinion that a dark wax like you stated will bring out the details more. Or darken the detail up a little with whatever.
However, I do like it like it is also.
Excellent job.

Real nice Feb! I really like the detail you put into the facial hair. Looks very realistic!

Feb, that's a mightly nice looking mountain man! The detailing is fabulous. I'm with Vic. I think I would go with the light wax. Either way, that's very nice work!

Feb, Very nice. Looks like this one has just had, or is expecting to have a happy experience. I tend to agree with the darker wax for finishing. I personally like the darker carvings, because they look aged. But your carving works very well the way you did it. Great job.. Tom H
