Default New Members/No Posts

I was just in the members directory and I was amazed to see how many people have registered in the past couple of months.

This is a great place to pick up pointers from experienced carvers, but I've noticed a lot of people who have registered and have not posted anything.

I would just like to encourage people to post something, especially if you've never posted anything before and let us know if and what you carve, or if you're thing of taking it up.

I've been carving for about 5 years and I consider myself to be somewhat of a beginner. I have learned A LOT of stuff from this forum. It is a very valuable tool and I know that I speak for the other 'regular' posters when I say that we'd love to hear from you.

There's a chart somewhere; I think it's 100 posts.

Sorry about that. You get to be a junior member at 50 posts, then a full member at 100 posts.

Some good things for new members/carvers to remember:

1. There are NO stupid questions.

2. If you don't ask you may never know.

3. Everybody was a 'beginner' at one time.

4. A picture's worth a thousand words.

icarve,

looks like you only need 4 more posts to make it to junior member.

Those are good points Clifford. I have NEVER come across a fellow carver that wasn't more than happy to help me, answer my questions and show off a bit of his or her work. Why wouldn't we want to talk about something that we love to do.

By the way, make that 3 more posts (he he he )

Chris

I was shocked to learn that I have posted more times than anyone else! I cannot remember having that much to say. I think I will save bandwidth and just 'hush my mouth' for a few months and let some other folks catch up. :-X
