Mike and I wanted to let you know there is a new free pattern package posted to our site, www.CarvingPatterns.com For this season we chose Art Deco as the style and the package contains eight large sized frame designs. The link to our Gift Page is in the mid-section of the first large white table on the home page. Hope everyone has a great holiday weekend! Susan Irish (Permission was requested and graciously granted by our Fearless Leader, BobD, for this posting.) |

I was just wondering where you have been hiding Susan.

Thanks Susan. I'm carving an acanthus mirror frame now. Yours are a welcome diversion from what I've been doing. Mike

Thanx susan. I'm downloading them to see what it is and hope to use them down the road. I'm great at making frames and a carved frame sounds like a real bonus to accent one of my intarsia's.

OK, I see and like some of those. Picture#7 is an open frame that you could put a mirror on or something else if you're creative. Is there a picture of that design in completed form? I'm too new to exactly visualize how to attack that, but I think a photograph would sure make it possible.

Hey Jeff I'm sorry ... I just have the patterns right now. The shop gets so busy that I often don't get any chance to carve any more .... sigh! ... grumble ... see me with the back of my hand firmly pressed against my forehead and a hint of a tear in my eye ... Some times I think I will have to retire to be able to take up the hobby of carving again. Susan

ok, well I have lots of intarsia experience with flowers, so what the heck. I'll give it a try sometime soon. Have to finish this female face first.
