Jim puts on a great event! If you can make it to any of them, it is well worth your time.

Thanks Christina.

In another thread you mention the GA humidity getting to your tools. I had that same problem with woodworking machinery up north in the spring when cold metal tools and warm moist spring air collided. I solved it with Boeig T-9 about 20+ years ago with a once year application on those tools. When I moved to FL I found tools left over the summer rusted also, so I started using T-9 on them also all the way up the shank. It works great and on the woodcarving tools I haven't needed a reapplication in several years. Only the cuttig edge is a problem on an annual basis as the honig obviously wers away the T-9, so I spray a little T-9 on a rag and wipe the cuttig edges before I leave for the summer, they are always good when I return in fall (have too may tools to carry north). see description at Rust < Corrosion Prevention

available on lots of web sites at varying prices.

Thanks Jim,
I just finished honing all of my tools yesterday and putting a wax/solvent compound on them that works really well. I will look into your recommendation.

Yahooo, only 45 miles from the house. Great time of the year for leaf peepers also.

Hi,
Just wanted to let you know that the Lake Placid Woodcarving Experience is shaping up quite nicely, all classes are a go. The student to teacher ratio of about 5 to one offers a fantastic oportunity for individual attention.
