| | New buncha teddy bears... I gave a butternut teddy bear pin to my neighbor the other day. She's been real nice to me especially since my Dad died last year. She was thrilled and she loved it. I didn't now it but she just started working part-time as a waitress at the diner down the street. A few days later she caught me as I was going to work and she told me everybody is asking about the little teddy bear pin--where can they get one--how much are they--can she get one for them--they'll pay whatever I want.
So, I guess I'm in business now. I had a few carved but needing painting, and I got a few more carved this week. I painted the eyes and the noses the other night. I sprayed the fronts with 5 coats of Rustoleum lacquer spray today. Tomorrow I spray the backs. Then I have to glue the pinbacks on--which I need to get more of at Walmart.
Anyway here's a pic before they're gone!

Butternut is a pretty color and grained wood.
Glad to see you didn't paint the whole bear.
Personally, I think you have just the right amount of paint on the butternut bears. Finish is good also
Been thinking of carving one each for my three Granddaughters. | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
