Default New Buckthorn spoon

I am hooked on this buckthorn now, anyone have an infestation? just kidding I talked to Frank Foltz about getting some blanks. WHat do you think it is quite small and is a gift for my nephew who is due to be born in the next 6 days.

Here is a close up of the bowl, at the back of the bowl you can see the curly figuring, due to this being where a branch split off, a spoon crook as Del calls them.

That's a nice spoon but it's a bit too short and you spelled my name wrong.
haha. ..

Dang it, Carl! Between you and Tom H and Forrest I'm going to have to get a new set of glasses just to be able to see what you carve.

Congratulations on a great-looking spoon and a new nephew to give it to!

Thanks Kris and Bob, I didn't post pictures but maybe I should I carved some mushrooms almost the size of a pencil eraser and a pine tree a little larger. I am also working on 5 knives 1 of them is another mini, one is a Boker for my brother and then one I am remaking for myself. Plus I am turning pens and kabuki brushes steady along with the pens, and also cutting firewood AHHH I am to busy, I think I will go fishing

You ARE busy! Uhmmm Carl, If your nephew turns out to be a girl, or the parents decide on a different name, you can send the spoon to me. ;-).

I think the doctors would be in big trouble if they still declare it a boy 7 days from the due date lol, if you want me to make you one let me know or I can send you a green blank and you can make it yourself?
