Talking New Buckthorn baby spoon

I received a new knife from Del and just had to go try it out, here is another Buckthorn spoon, it's a gift for a relatives granddaughter. I carved it green, dried it in the microwave, and submersed it in hot liquid beeswax until air bubbles stopped coming out of it. The branch crook I made it from was a very small one but I was able to get the correct grain alignment and include the tiger stripe figuring in the bowl of the spoon, the pictures do not show it very well.

Hi Carl,

Nice work. The photos are fine. Nice new knife, too.

Carl, another winner for sure. I'm trying to guess what you've got up your sleeve for March first.

You and me both Cliff I have been eyeing a branch on our Mountain Ash tree. Thanks everyone and that's the custom knife I have had Del make me for my style of carving he has said he might add it to his line of tools.

Hi Carl,
That sure is a nice spoon. I'm working on a cherry salad set and I hope to try the total bees wax soak on them.
I hope to make baby spoons as gifts thanks to your inspiration.
Looking forward to your tutorial.

Nice spoon, Carl! As for that knew knife, I sure hope Del doesn't add it to his line. If he does, I'd probably wind up having to buy it, and that wouldn't make the little woman very happy!

Carl, Is that Del tool a blunt point hook? I like the handle shape too.
