| | Re: Need Some Ideas Hi, I've seen ice fishing pole handles made from Diamond willow. And I've seen just a small diamond cleaned up and kept thin for key chains.
Hopes this helps. M. |

| | Re: Need Some Ideas Dave, While sticks may work. I see some pieces there that lend themselves to something quite different. Some of the bigger, gnarly ones could me made into pieces of art. By art I mean carve your spirit faces on them but faceing forward when the sticks are laying down. Something that could sit on a fireplace mantle or a shelf. May need to make two wood "legs" to make the piece sit up. If you sell your work, you could charge more for a piece of art. Some great possibilities. Tom H |

| | Re: Need Some Ideas I'm sorry I wont be able to get a picture of the keychain. A woman at the store had her keys hanging from her finger, and I recognised right away what they keychain was. It was just the diamond. It was like someone cut with a bandsaw above, behind and out below a diamond and then sanded it smooth and cleaned out the diamond like you see on walking sticks. This one had a high gloss finish on it. It was rather pretty! |

| | Re: Need Some Ideas woodtrapper,
not sure about the rest but the small one to the far left if it is tall enough would make a good looking gentlemans cane. with a nice carved handle.
