| | Native American Hi, guy's i know i haven't been around for a while just couldn't carve and didn't want to talk about it either, must of been a slump you know like the yankees but i survived. I just finished this native american i call him two feathers. He's carved from basswood and stained with a mix of burnt umber oil paint and mineral. I use one or two inches from the tube to 1 cup mineral spirits depending how dark i want it. I finished it with clear shalac to try something different and i liked the look i got not from the indian, but you know. Click below to take a peak let me know what you think. Feb |

| | Re: Native American I just got back myself about a week or so ago Feb. I was carving (and paddling)...but it was all Greenland kayak paddles made from western red cedar which I don't think would be of interest to our group here. I am back to my regular carving however, and I see you've kept at it. Very nice NA Indian. Coincidently, I'm working on one now myself...unless I get part way through and he turns into something else. A gentleman asked me to put a head dress on him - we'll see. Good to hear from you.
