Default National Museum of Woodcarving

I will be visiting Mount Rushmore this summer, and while I'm there I will drag the family to the National Museum of Woodcarving (http://www.blackhills.com/woodcarving/) in Custer. Does anyone have any recommendations about anything I should pay special attention to?

I won't be able to be there when any of the classes are running, unfortunately.

When you're paying your admission tell them not to stick one of their lame bumper stickers on your car!! Other than that it's worth the cost.

I agree with Lynn but it is worth the visit for sure.
However, When you go in tell them you want free enter for all the members in your party for the advertizement of the bumpersticker they will plant on your vehicle. It work for me, Well, They didn't let us in for free but they asked which vehicle and tag number. No bumper stick when we came out
.
Head up and see Crazy Horse monument. I was up in 91 when they were working on Carzy Horse's head. Now it is complete and look great, Now they are working on the horse head. May not be completed in my life time, but worth the trip also.

Visit the Badlands east of Rapid City also if you have time. Walls is a great place to stop on 90 also. They still served ice cold water in '98. Also Dances With Wolves was flimed in that area east of Rapid City where the fort and small down is or was in '98. Deadwood is a great place and can spend Days there also.
