Default NA in progress

Hey guys and gals heres one I've been working on for about a month off an on. I try to do different things with each one in this case it's the headress and boy I'm having a hard time. I'm not the best tool sharpener and all the feathers are in the end grain, what was i thinkin. I'm not sure what to do on the right side either ernine skins or beads. Well thanks for lookin and comments welcome as always.

Hi Feb,

Your work is always very impressive.

Can you tell me how you usually do your feathers? What tool do you use? I may have a suggestion if I know how you do them.

Hi feb, I vote for Ermine skins although beads would like great too. Guess you will have to decide...lol
You do a really nice job of getting very realistic features. I like your progress so far, keep going.

Thanks to all for looking and your suggestions. Lynn I really should listen to you of all carvers but all the ones I looked at were like that and i just want to be different. Ron T I never do things the same way every time but I start with the quill if that what you call it. I use a 8 no. 3 to out line it I use a no. 3 16mm to flaten it out, then I use a chip carving knife and v tool to go around the edges and use a small vtool for all the lines. I hope you understood that.Thanks again to all and I will be posting it when finished.
