I moved away from woodspirits for a bit to try a Native American Indian for a change. This guy is carved out of poplar and stands approx. 2.5 ft tall. I put some evidence of paint under the oil, sealer and wax. I ran out of wood while doing the head dress as you can see. If you take a look near the top, you'll see where I borrowed an Indian saying and carved out a small head dress using my parting tool. He's got quite a honker on him. It seems that I'm going through a "large nose" phase lately. Patrick |

That is a cool indian carving! It has a lot of the characteristics that your other carvings have but is clearly indian. Thanks for sharing. Greg |

Another good carving even if it isn't a woodspirit! My only advice is "to go forward with courage" and keep those chisels hot ! Nice job.

Hi Patrick, you can call him 'Big Nose' which would be very fitting. I like the way you displayed the Indian saying and the small headdress near the saying is really a nice touch. All in all I think it's a nice carving! Kathy
