Default My Work area

This is a pic of where I do all my carving. I moved to this room when I was unable to go down to the basement after hip surgery. I guess I'll be staying here, it's a little cramped but it works, and besides I have my computer right there should I need it. I have a large carvers apron that I put over my neck, I have it pinned to my desk and the window sill and it keeps mamma off my back. The only problem, I can't carve anything larger than caricatures here. If I wanna do a walkin stick I move out doors now that the weather is half decent.

Thanks Keoma, you noticed, I am slightly cramped here, but it works. I'm glad you liked the set of tools I just printed (smile)

A Neat work area there Mr.Ciff I like it. I took over my wifes spare bedroom and after this show in a few weeks,I promised Id least dig her bed out where she could see it!

I did the same thing when I started carving?? I printed off my chisels & gouges from on line too, course using them, they get dull but they are easy to sharpen??

Just take your scissors and cut the paper & the edges as you like them!

Hi Cliff,

Very nice and comfortable "work area"? you've got there. Aren't you afraid you're going to scratch that desk? From what I can see of it it looks like it's in excellent condition, nice finish. I guess since your computer is right there that means no sanding. As for working outside, that's where I have to go, out on the patio. Condo living sure puts a cramp on my style.

I had been thinking about suggesting a "new" forum so everyone could post photos of their workshop/workbench/workarea. What do you think? Or perhaps we could all just add on to your thread Here. Any ideas?

Thanks for the comment gang. RonT, I think that was done a while ago on the forum. I was just sitting here today amidst all the clutter and thought I'd show how and where I work, I actually like it here and my window over looks the river so I can see the boats as they go by trolling for walleye.

Hey Claude, in the bathroom what ya expect. LMAO. there's always one funny guy around and you get first prize today Claude. All the power tools are still in the basement, I can get up and down now so its not a problem, but I'm gonna stay in this little room to do the bulk of my small carings, like I said earlier, gotr me a window that looks right at the river.

Hi Cliff,

It sure must be nice to carve in paradise. I can just imagine what it's like. I remember when we were on the road and we'd camp next to a river or lake. The feeling was sublime.

Okay so I guess I'll show you mine since you showed me yours.
