Smile My wood shop, sharpening& Dust collector

Hi All,
I've been trying to get my carving shop set up with a dust collector and finish up my sharpening center. I had a stroke last month so it was delayed a little. I have NO damage from the stroke thank God, and the Dr., Hospital , flight for life etc. Anyway I finished the plexiglass enclosure and the table with the inset suction. 2.5hp motor really strong. I put the dust collector in the back by my table saw etc. so I don't have the noise. Please take a look and give me any sugestions. I have my Wecheer and flexshaft/reg Dremels plus my tools handy. I put all of my bits on a lazy susan that I drilled to hold them. I have large long magnets to hold my carving tools that I'm going to mount on a slant board. Any ideas welcome. I still don't know what I am doing but am having a ball doing it!
Phyllis

Hi Phiyllis, I like the way your shop/ studio is coming along. Just looking at your plexiglass enclosure is giving me ideas about building one for my studio. I like the holders for your power carvers!
I like your sharping system too! Like I said your studio looks good!

Thanks Bob, the aluminum angle and plexiglass we had out here in the barn, so just bolts etc. was all I needed. In the AM I'm going to build the slant board with the magnets to hold my tools. This is all in the barn, my old tack room.

Oh you make me feel bad. My shed is a mess. I clean and tidy it up then before I know it its a mess again. Strangely its only at carving I'm a slob. Glad your stroke left to effects. Ok I'm going to tidy up that pig sty of a shed. Tomorrow.

Nice! You've given me some ideas with the bungee cords, but if you would separate your Dremels a little more, they won't breed and multiply so fast. Just kidding! I counted 6 or 7? I would love to see some more pictures or details on your sharpening station; I haven't seen one quite like that, but I don't get out much.

Phyllis, I can only find only one fault first time thru the pictures................no cushion for your back on the chair. A bright room. Are the flexcords on your hanging grinders going to be long enough when you use them? It looks like you're having fun setting up your shop. I like your plexiglas cover and work area. Now get to carving girl!

Viewing pics the second time I couldn't help but notice the two person BOLT CUTTER hanging next to the drill press. What in the world do you cut with these?

Phyliss,

First of all, I wish you the best of continued health.

Secondly, fantastic carving studio, you have given me about 3-4 lights going off in my head on what changes I can make, THANK YOU.

Love the sharpening system setup, real jealous here.

Now lets see some of your carings.

Bill

Hi Phyllis,
Very happy that you suffered no lasting damage from your stroke!
Your shop is awesome. I really like the plexiglass cover over your dust collector and the sharpening machine. All told, a really neat set up.
Dave
