Default My Pics of NEWC Show Oct. 17th

What a show! Tons of carvings, tons of people, met Fred K. and his wife and Doc, I must have been standing right next to you, watching Pete Leclair and didn't know it! So sorry to have missed you. Loved meeting Fred! Doc had a lot of the pics I took, as well, so I am eliminating them and sending more favorites your way. Rob Jones is the creator of the French Horn that's been shown on this forum and Doc showed you his trumpet. Here are some shells that he designed and carved that are simply amazing. Also, lots of Chery Dow's woodburnings...she was a featured artist.

With permission, here is a pic of Fred K and me, and Fred and his wife, Chris. What a thrill to meet both of them! Then we have some intricate scroll work, an array of decoys, and I loved this froggy in high relief.

Oops...the decoys will appear below....the pic above was a shot of the masters table with Wyatt Earp winning big...Doc showed you a better pic. This very large puppet intrigued me, as did these 3 busts which were very well carved and I loved the caricatures in the last pic.

Loved these bark houses, a cowboy caricature, and the oxen with the farmer....and for you fishing enthusiasts, here are some lures that were nicely done. The 3 bears were done by a female wildlife artists in exhibition. I loved those!

I recognise the two carvings in the last lot of pics, the bucking bronco and the other are in a detailed post on here that I have been following with interest. Nice to put a face to the name Bonnie and thanks for sharing your pics. Looks like it was a well attended show. Joe.
