Default My Own Design

This one is my own design. After looking at LOTS of lovespoons on the net and in various books, I realized that no one was carving "modern" designs. This one is a wedding spoon, denoted by the bells. I figured that computers make up a large part of the lives of young people getting married today, so why not make a lovespoon for the computer age?

There is a LOT of endgrain in this design. My knives are sharp enough to handle it, but it's still a pain.

Anybody else got any suggestions for modern symbols of love and friendship? Some of the traditional ones are diamonds for prosperity, locks for security, horseshoes and 4-leaf clovers for luck, bells for weddings, and hearts for . . . well, you know.

Bob

I don't have any suggestions for modern design, all my thoughts go back to the old school. I just wanted to say that's a nice well done, pattern.
