Default My name is Bob, and I'm a ...

My name is Bob and I'm addicted to carving canes! It's has been 5 minutes since I last worked on a cane!

Woops, sorry! No disrespect intended to my friends with the other addiction.....it is just that I am just having a ball carving another cane. My wife is ready to shoot me over the dust, the dog has cocked her eye at me like I've gone around the bend, but it is turning out soooo sweet. I may end up going into the cane business.........na, I'm not that crazy!

I was looking at a site where a lad does carve canes as a business....he's very good too, pet heads. Has a nice Huskey head. www.canescanada.com/handCarved.htm

Well, back to carving folks.....hummm.......better rest first, then return to carving. Don't want to over do it! Isn't this fun!!!

Bob

Your addiction or obsession with carving canes is exacly how I feel about carving walking sticks. It's so affirming and comforting to know that I am not alone! No doubt about it... we are just grossly misunderstood people!

This reminds me of that "Home Improvement" episode when Tim was trying to find a way to hot-wire Jill's new sports car because she didn't trust him with the keys. When his son Randy asked his dad why he did such things he replied that, "I'm a sick, sick man." ...refering to his addiction to cars.

Yes we are sick, sick people but I wouldn't have it any other way and besides, carving gives me just one more good reason to wake up to another day!

What I would like to know, is how come you wasted five minutes. What were you thinking. Some people even sleep, and that is a sure sign of burn out. Don't waste time there are a lot of sticks out there to be carved.
