Default My little boot

Here's a little old worn out boot I carved for a shoe repairman I know. I cut the blank out of bass wood on my scrollsaw and just started carving. It took me about an hour off and on. I stained it with red oak stain and used a sharpie for the sole and heel edging.

I set it on my notebook to take the pics.

Thanks. As a matter of fact, I was thinking about trying a cowboy boot real soon. I bought a 20lb box of bass wood from Rockler and most of it is rough, but the thickness is right for cutting out blanks for carving. I've done this boot and I'm working on a cat right now. I'm thinking of cutting out a dog as well.
