Default My Latest Project.....

is making a 'Penny Farthing'. What?? you say? You know, a bicycle with a huge front wheel and a tiny rear wheel.....I think these were made by the English.... but that may not be so.

So far I have the bike put together, but still needs the seat and handle bars....then the fun begins to carve the rider.

Just for grins and giggles....check out 'Penny Farthing' on the BING search engine....the other day, I saw a film of people riding these bikes....
looks like fun to me, but the down side is if you would tip over....'tis a long way down.

Another thing that I learned from that film was that there is a peg just above the rear wheel on one side of the bike frame. This is how the rider is able to get on to the high up seat.

Dull, that sounds interesting. Looking forward to seeing it.

My wife's uncle had one and his kids rode it all the time, I never had the nerve to try it.
