Default My First Spoon Ever

I've been accumulating tools since Christmas, finally got around to carving my first spoon ( well actually it's a coffee scoop) it's made of cherry and hold 1/8 cup of coffee at level, perfect for one cup of java. Comments welcome.

Thanks for the reply folks. Number one, no I didn't use the hook kinfe (altho I have a brand new on here, never used, for sale, reasonable) I got me a new Wecheer for Christmas and I start out with Kutzalls and then I use those snaders that you inflate (they are fantastic) next I use mineral oil bought from the drug store as suggested by a proffesional spoon maker that makes a living at making spoons. If it's good enough for him then that's what I'll continue to use. By the way, this is the first cherry I've ever worked with, wow, whar fantastic wood.

Well I have to ask....what is an inflatable snader? I don't have any idea what a Wecheer is either, but an inflatable tool is em.....really an oddity.

What hook are you selling?

Thanks Sam and Bob, it's really not quite as fancy as youre Bob, as stated earlier on your post, I just wouldn't have the patience to try a love spoon and Sam, it's an 1/8 cup, not a 1/4, if you use a 1/4 cup of coffee to make 1 cup of coffee, don't ever offer me a cup, man that would be some kinda strong coffee.

Cliff, I LOVE IT!!! You did a fantastic job. It's a beautiful simple and elegant design and you should be very proud of it. Heck, I'm pretty darn proud of you. The cherry wood is real pretty. What's next now, soup ladle maybe? Thanks for sharing it, my friend! Sam I'll take a cup of your coffee, I need something strong today!LOL
