Default My Contribution (From the Heart)

Hi Gang,
I dont know if any of you saw the thread from Retry about the young 8 year old boy who has bone cancer and how a wonderful gentleman who also was suffering from cancer gave the young boy a gift and a copy of WCI to help him on his way to starting him into carving. The gentleman Mr Fracker if I remember rightly passed away but Clayton is still carving. Retry had an idea to send the boy who also had a brother some Christmas ornaments for their tree this year. So he appealed to us on this message board to make a donation. I am appealing for you all to put a smile on two little boys faces this year and carve them something for their tree. It doesnt take long and we all have so much to be thankful for that something small as this I am sure would not take too much of your time. I did these two bark ornaments last night I know they are not the best Santa's in the world but they were carved from the heart and hope that the boys Clayton and Erik will find some joy in them as they decorate their tree this year. I know it is early but Christmas will be upon us soon, remember that the best part of Christmas is giving.
Peace on earth and goodwill towards all men.
Colin

I sent my two last week. They aren't great, and I am sure that I got a lot more out of sending them than they will get out of the two ornaments, but it was such a nice thought, that I wanted to be a part of it.
Your ornaments are terrific Collin. The way you photographed them looks like they are carved in tree trunks.
Thanks for calling more attention to this idea.

Colin,

First off, let me say THANK YOU for the wonderful Santa carvings that arrived yesterday. The boys have enjoyed recieving the carving from you, Dave Dunlap, and Christina (Thor) so much that they are not waiting until Christmas to "hang" them. They are hanging in the boys bedroom as we speak.

Also be looking in the mail for a hand written "" from the boys ( I hope that you can read there writing).
