Default How much are you selling your carving for

I was just looking at wood carvings on Ebay and thought that you might get a kick out of this one. I sometimes think I ask too much for my carvings after seeing this one I now dont think I ask near enough.

The way I look at it is P.T. Barnum said there's one born every minute. I should put one of my Ducks on there for that price. Then I would only have to sell one this year. But like my Wife said you'd just go out and blow it on buying more wood and tools. I might have to agree....

Well dont be too amazed. I spend time pricing bird carvings. Bird carvings from hundreds to hundreds of thousands. The most expensive modern carving I found, sold for $25o,ooo US dollars. If the quality of work and the demand is there, then price dosent seem to be a problem. An old lady used to sell paintings along side the road, we would go by there about twice a year. Always planned to stop and buy a painting. They usually sold for around $100. Never did. Her paintings now sell for 30 to 40 thousand. For me its difficult to see what others see in my own work, but some people do like it, and some dont. Keep carving and painting, someone will appreciate your work someday.

Hey all I've sold a few carvings that I really put a lot of time an effort into, that figured out to about 3 bucks an hour, on the other hand I've sold some that were rather crude and I finished in almost no time that would figure out to about 25 bucks an hour. Now I don't keep track of my time I just have fun and carve oldbearx2

Hey I've got some of mine for sale for $2.5 Million each. Might be a hard sell, but then again, I only have to move one!
