Gene,I was wanting to paint this whole carving but found myself, just wanting to keep it simple, plus I felt just painting the grouse would be enough.

Im glad you liked it thoug my good friend and thanks for ckn him out plus your nice comments!

Hope you are going to have a good wk plus some time for yourself to carve. Your olde buddy,Forrest.

Forrest, you've done it again....another great carving! Although the focus is on the main attraction, the grouse, which is wonderful by itself, the unpainted background really shows up the depth in all of the detailed scenery....quite an interesting combination, my friend! Bullshipper said it best....no need for your signature, my friend. You're one-of-a-kind, and most of us would recognize a "Forrest original". Bonnie

AWwwwwwwww Bonnie, Im gald you liked how I left the background unpainted, heck,it saved me some time also!! LOL

Since there wasnt anything in the background that would catch your attention,I want the grouse to really be the main subject matter. And leaving the background just carved,it seemed ok to me...plus something different.

Thanks for you neat comments as always and I appreciate you plus thank you for your nice compliments Bonnie,my friend! Working on a bigger honey bear, should finish the carving part today. I know you love bears and you have a few that love being in your backyard, which is so koollllllllll~ To me.

Ck with you later and once again, thanks for ckn out this mtn grouse!

Forrest

Again, a wonderful carving where your stylized touch with paint brings it to life.
The trees are so perfect back there.
Great piece.
