Default Mt. Home, AR show

I know that Wildhare is planning on attending the Mt. Home, Arkansas show this weekend. I plan on being there on Saturday from about 10am 'til about 1pm. Anyone else from forum attending?

Dale Heinecke will be bringing in a load of wood and Larry Yudis' will have his supply train there with the usual temptations.

I'm too far away (Phoenix), but, my in-laws live in Mt. Home and I'm sure they'd like to go to it. If it isn't widely advertized (one of the main problems with woodcarving shows here) they might not know about it. If you let me know where it will be, I can pass the info on to them.
Thanks,
Dan

I guess Phoenix is a bit far to run over for the show. I am sure that your family members would enjoy seeing all of the carvings on display at the...

...Fairground in Mountain Home, this weekend (May 2 & 3) starting at 10am and going 'til about 5pm.

Only furners. Us hillbilly's built up immunity over the years, besides the only thing those razorbacks really pass on to us is bar-b-que. Lynn you are close enough to have some immunity....come on over.

Wish I could....been trying to make that trip for about 4 years now. Unfortunately, with all the hills and valleys it's a two day jaunt for us. One of these days though.

Hey Paul,
This will be my first show to attend. What all happens at the shows? Are there competitions you can enter there or do you have to be registered?
Can't wait to meet you. My husband and I will be coming up late friday in our rollin' home.

Mornin' Wanda, There will be competitions among those who have tables at the show. So some of the carvings will be at the judge's table and that is why I make at least two rounds of the tables.

No admission is charged; but, they do have a "donation" box. You will be given a "peoples choice" slip to use in voting for that award. Some shows put the "people's choice competition pieces" on a separate table. I think Mt. Home leaves them on the tables; but, puts a number by them.

There will be some carvings, roughouts and patterns for sale at the tables. Larry Yudis (Big Dawg) will have a lot of supplies on sale in the lobby and Dale and Marge Heinecke will have wood for sale in the main room.

Are you staying up at Bull Shoals State Park? I know several RV'ers do. Thought about it; but, my 5th wheel has an electrical problem that I need to fix before starting back into traveling.

See you this weekend.
