Default Mr.Snap Bean

Mr Snap Bean got his name being a small man but he was mean. He was only 3 ft tall but with his jokes he had ball.
Hey BOY?? You got any money? No Sir I replied then watch out for that snake at your side!! Id jump 10 ft off the ground course it was one of his jokes and there wasnt any snake to be found.

But the only thing good about old Snap Bean he liked making little toys for us all,he be carving little dolls for the girls, here boys, you a ball.

He was good to us children with us being so poor,we would even save the chips of wood that fell on the floor. I go one,I got two,me I got three as I let the chips fly where Id climbed the old oak tree.

Sitting on the old store porch he'd whittle from morning till night with his old case pocket knive.
He played tricks on us but we loved him so,it was winter now and they found on the store porch covered with snow.
Our little ole friend had died,at his grave I laid the little knive at his side.
But he hasnt left my thoughts even now,I can see him on that old store porch, chips hitting the ground.

Hes 1 inch X 1 3/4 inches.I carved him from another piece of the pine ironing board legs.

Hope you like him.Just sum thang do yesterday to get me back to carving. Im off and running now.

Forrest from Old Tn,thanks for your thoughts they have helped me.

Hey Forrest,

Glad to see you're carving and posting. I'd seen some mention of you being laid up. Hope you're okay now. Great carving and painting, and of course, great story to go with him!

Mark

Dan I called my wife at work about the cat on the dogs head? She said, have you taken your morning meds honey? I asked her where are they? In that new plastic long pill box with all the areas for the different days and times I bought you.

Ohh Ok.She didnt know it,I stored some mini carvings in it,I thought she got it for that read-sun. I need to get off here and find my pills. But bee-four I go,Thanks my friend for your thoughts here Dan.

Here pilly, here pillies, guess they will come to me seeing some of them are so big I know they have legs!
