Wink Mounting projects to a plaque base...

I have had different suggestions for this and have not found one that I like. I am a new bird carver and have some projects I need to mount onto a base and I am not sure of the best way to do this... Hoping some of you have some suggestions...

I use epoxy glue and wood screws. If you are going to mount your birds standing on their feet, I'd say that you'll need to use thin screws so that you don't split the wood of the carving. Or you can just use the epoxy and clamps to hold the carving til the glue has set.

Like Tony, I use Titebond 3 and then screw it in from the bottom also.

Thanks everyone... I ended up using dowls and glue... I was mounting two birds onto driftwood and then onto plaque bases... quite a proceedure. Never done it before but very pleased with the results. I found out how to bend those metal cast feet too which is what I used on them. The birds are resin casts that I painted in courses that I took but I wanted to display them properly... they look fantastic and I am finishing painting the legs tonight. Thanks all.
