Great carving Dave, a whole lot of detail for butternut! I agree with you though really nice grain, but sometimes a pain to carve.

Hey Merle and Wanda, thanks for your generous comments. After many other carvings this too was my first characture carving. I think I will try to carve more. But I want to finish my carving of a bust of an Indian Warrior first, also out of Butternut. Thanks again - Dave
