Default More Woodspirits

I just posted some more pictures of my woodspirits on picturetrail-
Since there are so many of you from the Northern part of the country, are you familiar with the recovery process that is now being done with the 'slow growth' timber that was cut at the turn of the century, but sank in the Lake Superior befor they got to the Lumber Mills?
I was lucky enough to get some pieces for carving, and it is fantastic wood! So very close grained it holds great detail, and woods that are now hard to find in large trees now. Some carvings were in Chipchat a couple of years ago; does anyone remember ?

Jim ???

Thanks for the kind words, guys....I can use the encouragement.

Rick & Teri, All these pieces are gone, but I would sure like to talk about some swapping pieces. Give me a blast at :jimni@dnet.net, and we will work out something! Looking forward to hearing from you.

Teri,
Do you live just south of Columbus? I lived for quite a few years in Ashville, and graduated at Piketon, Ohio. Were we almost neighbors?

Jim

Jimb, I live just east of Columbus in Reynoldsburg. But, yes, I think we were neighbors (if you were here after 96, that is). I was in Chicago from 78 to 96.
