Default More Pics on Picture trail

Hey Fellow Carvers
I followed advise and post on general carving.
I am working on two angels carved out of cottonwood roots. I must say Cottonwood is quite an unique wood. Anyway This is my first time trying to get realistics face expressions.
I put some pics of my progress.
Please check them out and give me advise.
Before I cover then with Gesso

Doel

Doel, if that's your first attempt you are going to be very, very good at realistic facial expressions. Your proportions are good, very balanced. I had a hard time at first getting the sides even, right always looked better than left, your's look great already! Very fine work! Callynne
