Great work Ken. Too bad the butternut trees have picked up some kind of blight. I am afraid beautful wood like this will soon be just a memory.

Bob, I have a walking staff that needs something on it. May be on the top, I don't know but I am thinking afte your comment, that a Johnny Reb would look good on the Staff. Thank you for the suggestion.

He looks real good Kenny. Butternut can be tricky to carve in places, at least to me, I started a rebel bust out of butternut but had gotten sidetracked. Yer post here will get me back on track. Thanks fer sharin'.
