Good job. Can you carve that old figure that they featured way back in the day in MAD magazine that had either two or three cylinders off to the side depending on how you looked at it? They had a name for it, started with a P, but I cant remember it. That would be a challenge.

@SlowMover: This page has an example of what you're talking about. Scroll about halfway down to the section titled "Ambiguous Connectivity."

The Principles of Artistic Illusions

Seems like it would be impossible to carve something like that, since it's an illusion based on the 2-dimensional representation of a 3-dimensional object. In 3D, you'd have to resolve that ambiguity.

Really nice work, Bob. I remember seeing something like that when I first started carving, and thinking I should make one. Then I forgot all about it.

Exciting Scout Crafts - Mobius Triangle has some good instruction.

Bob,

What a great carving! I grew up with a bunch of true science geek friends and seeing your mobius strip brought back a flood of great memories. While other guys would sit around and talk hockey & chicks, these guys would discuss the mobius strip, pi & the Fibonacci sequence.

What's next on your carving of scientific conundrums... Schrodinger's cat? Now that could be an interesting & bizarre carving. Thanks for bringing back so many memories by sharing your creativity with us.
Jay
