Default I miss my band saw!!

Since we're now in the land of the "snow bird" and will be for the next couple of months, I realized I didn't bring enough cut outs to last.

I've been trying to find some place to rent some time on some woodworking tools and they don't seem to exist. I finally found an add for someone selling a table top Delta band saw at a reasonable price and I picked it us so now I can get back to carving. It's just the right size for the Condo and I can store it in the closet without any trouble it will cut wood up to 3" so I'll have to keep the projects small, but I sure miss my basement shop back in the snowy north.

I think someone who opened a wood shop down here and rented out time could have a nice business with all the "birds" flocking down here in the cold months.

Folks might check for a local carving club to see if a member or two might help with time on their bandsaw. I know a couple in my club help out other members with cutting out patterns.

When I moved here I could not have my band saw for almost 5 months. The local high school was very happy to have me in the shop.

Paul if you are retired military, or able to use AF Bases or Army most of them have a wood hobby shops. You usually have to take a safety class and then can use the equipment. Good luck.
