Default Mind bender

I just picked up a copy of Fox Chapel's new book Woodcarving Magic by Bjarne Jespersen at my local Woodcraft. If you like things that challenge your mind (blow your hair back) then this book will surely be of interest to you.

Just looking at the sample carvings causes me to wonder where the wood goes in and out of the piece, let alone how he conceived and carved it. The presented projects go from very simple to extreamly complex and he discusses how the piece was constructed. So, if you are looking for something that will certainly challenge your carving skills, check out this book the time you have the opportunity to do.

A for me, I'll still be on the begining projects for quite sometime.

Ron

I've asked my kids to buy me one for Father's Day and pick their preferences, then send me the book. Is this about to be a fatal mistake?

The book is well worth the price if for no other reason than the photos. His work will astound you!
