Default Michigan Wood Carvers Association exhibit
Hi all,

My beautiful bride and wonderful kids surprised me yesterday with an early Fathers Day gift.

A visit to the Michigan Wood Carvers Association exhibit at the Midland Center for the Arts (just a few miles from my home!)

There was a 'juried' class that was in competition, and then an 'open' class for folks who wanted to show off their work.

Amazing exhibit. Even had a few Floyd Rhadigan carvings!

WOW!!! Some really terrific carvings there. It must have been pure joy to see. I think the montain man with the skin hat impressed me most, but the trout jumping out of the water was pretty spectacular as well. Thanks for sharing your gift, Joe.
