Could someone please tell me their method/s for moveable joints on timber pieces like dolls etc.. I have several ideas of my own but, I would rather not reinvent the wheel if I do not have to. I would rather a method where the metal parts are not visible, but will bow to the higher authorities on this site if that is a complicated procedure. I am embarking on a very ambitious project which I shall not post as a WIP unless it works out like I hope. Thanks in advance for your help. Joe.

Here is a link to some ideas and methods: Jointed carvings Wildhare does a lot of dolls. You can do carved wooden joints, doweled joints. You can also use the elastic cord used to make jewelry. I'm too new at it to be much help.
