Default I met Gene Webb

You know?? Till you meet someone you dont really know them. Taken the time to drive up to Genes shop was super neat and you wont find a more nicer gentleman to say nothing of him being the great carver he is.

I really enjoyed meeting this great carver!! His work is one of a kinda and with his talent and skills he creates such impressive carvings. If you go to the Smokys stop in Townsend,Tn and meet Gene,it will be the high light of your trip.

Thank you Gene,it was my pleasure meeting you sir!

Forrest

I hope to go to his shop the next time we're in the Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge area. Snakes! Why did it have to be snakes?

Alex the 1st wood carvers show I attended in Nov 2006{when I started carving} in Johnson City Tn,not too far from me. I noticed this cowboy with a big snake,Gene won best of show with it. Talking with him yesterday, the Couple that put on that show ask Gene to be one of the judges at that show.He told themI will but I'll only judge the Novice & Intermediate, cause his big snake was in the Open. Talking with him,I was a Novice at that show,I told him,I won 18 ribbons that year. He said,I just picked the best carvings I saw in the Novice. It made me smile yesterday.

Id pre-judge Gene, why I dont know but Im so gald I met him in person!! Hes one heck of a person plus what a carver also!!

Shoot yea if you ever get the chance, come meet Gene Webb.

Forrest
