Hi everyone!!! Good News!!! The new message board is going live tomorrow (Friday). There is one problem: We have to shut the board down for a short time to convert all the information from this board to the new board. Here's the official word: Attention Message Board Users The board will be unavailable beginning Friday, December 17th at 9:30 am. We apologize for the inconvenience but this is necessary as we convert the existing message board to a new and improved message board. During the conversion we are confident that we will retain all the existing posts along with your current username and password. I anticipate this process to take roughly 4 hours but please check back here for updates frequently. In addition, once the message board is live you will need to update your bookmarks/favorites to access the new message board. The new URL is www.woodcarvingillustrated.com/forum/index.php. Over the next week we will continue to debug. Once satisfied with the look and feel of the new message board we will replicate it on www.scrollsawer.com. Thus, Wood Carving Illustrated and Scroll Saw Workshop will have their own boards respectively. I will keep you updated on the details as they evolve. As with anything new there will be a learning curve not only for you but also for us. Rest assured we are dedicated to make this transition as smooth as possible. There will be a special forum created 'FAQ' to answer your questions. If that should fail please feel free to personally contact us below. Sincerely, Bob Duncan Magazine Editorial Duncan@FoxChapelPublishing.com Rob Starr Marketing Coordinator/Webmaster Rob@FoxChapelPublishing.com |

Looking forward to the new format. However if everyone goes directly to the message board, bypassing the main page they will continue to miss some information they probably would appreciate, for example everyone seems to have missed the DYI series announcement thats been on the home page since you put it up. Maybe you could have a line or two at the top of the page as an alert to new interesting stuff on the home page. Seasons greetings to all!!!! |

This board is VERY bright compared to the old one huh? At least it looks like the threads and member stuff made it ok. Good job guys. |

It IS much brighter. Not too bad, but as Al Archie says - it'll take a little while to get used to it. I did notice that some post counts did not make it over. For example: Clifford - is that your first post ever? Also, it shows that I last visited on 01-01-1970.....um. I do like it though. |

Congratulations BobD, you've got your new baby launched! Break out the champaigne! It will take some time for me to figure out where everything is and how it works, but it will be worth it. I'm just happy that I'll be able to stay in touch with all my carving friends that I've made her, thanks to the nice folks at Fox Chapel. Merry Christmas Bob and to all there at Fox Chapel and thank you and them for all your efforts. Bob
