Default may flys

good day to all I am doing a fish for a guy and he wants a couple may flys added to the piece there in lies the problem. I have never carved anything that small and not real sure how to go about it!I have been playing with different materials and have not had much luck any help would sure be welcome.Gary

The May fly body is about an inch long the tail is about another inch. If there is a store near you that sells fly tying supplies you can find embossed wing material used in tying May fly’s. Some stores will have pamphlets on trying different fly’s that may be of help. Another thought is getting some May fly fly’s that are already tied, cutting the hook off leaving enough of the back of the hook wire to mount them on a branch.

Thanks Randy that is one of the things I was thinking about but the flys I have seen on line don't look that good to me. I will just continue to search and see if I find anything.Gary
