Mark Akers, sorry about your knee injury fella!Hi Mark, I also will give Mark Gargacs 'Carving Woodspirts' a I saw right off the bat where I didn't actually start my cottonwood spirit correctly. I removed all the bark where I planned my face to begin. Which I could have only made the hairline marks/cuts creating the deepth. Then begain removing the bark, having the hairline deept established right off. Hope this makes sense. lol Anyway, another good DVD from Mark, super instruction. I recommend Marks DVD to anyone who is interesting in learning how to carve woodspirits in cottonwood bark. Here is Mark Gargac's email address if you want you own 'Carving Woodspirits' DVD. mgargac@gargacsoriginals.com Me too, thanks Mark! Kathy

Likewise here. Great DVD, and would highly recommend it! Watched the whole woodspirit DVD yesterday, and can't wait to get started on one. Just have to get some cottonwood bark. I have some, but it's a little small. If anything, I'd like to do one a little bigger than in the DVD. I have Mark's other two DVDs, and as anyone knows who has them, they really are great. Just follow the DVD and you'll end up with a great carving. His new woodspirit DVD is definitely of the same caliber as the first two. Nice job Mark! I'll post my woodspirit when I get it done. (Now I've got to get busy and find a good source for some bark!) Dan C. |
